Day plan
Please note that itinerary is only for time orientation, and timetable can change due to weather conditions or other factors*
We start in the morning hours from Kotor Port, sail through entire Bay of Kotor, enjoying the surrounding landscape glowing in the sunrise light, reveling colors of wall-like mountains above.
Coffee and traditional Montenegrin prosciutto breakfast is already on the table, so we can gain energy for upcoming adventure.
Soon, we’ll be docking at the acclaimed town of Perast, architectural pride of Boka Bay. 30 minutes free time is more than enough time to admire the 55 meters tall bell tower at the central square, wander along the main street and capture some exquisite photos.
In order to get away from the crowed and noise, we sail further, passing famous Verige straight, the narrowest part of the Bay, once blocked by the chain for protection from enemy fleets.
Sun raised just enough to keep us warm as we refresh jumping into crystal ink blue water of Adriatic.
Captain will make sure that all adventurous passengers get prompt sailing lessons, take helm or help work a wench.
Infamous prison island Mamula is appearing on the horizon. Fortification was built to protect the entrance of Boka Bay, but unfortunately, it was used as torture and lock people in both World Wars.
Suddenly, as we leave the Bay, endless space on one side of Adriatic is now luring our eyes, making all our senses bewitched by the sea at once.
Time to put our snorkeling gear on!
Captain is making sure we are anchored, so we can dive in into the shades of Blue Cave.
Inside of this naturally formed cave, the sea meddles with rocks and the sunrays brake into florescent sparks giving the effect of glowing water. All you have to do to see this spectacle is to shake your body and dive with your goggles under the surface!
Lunch break is at nearby coastal restaurant, and in the manner of the tour, we always recommend seafood and Mediterranean specialties.
After lunch our body craves for some peace and relaxation, so it time to chill and get some ten on the deck as we sail back into the Bay.
Our final stop is at another, bigger and man-made “cave” – one of famous ex-Yugoslavian tunnels built inside the mountain itself to hide submarines and navy ships. One more witness of war, but also a reminder of strength and development of Yugoslavian country.
From here we sail back to Kotor and disembark at the port.
